Charles Rogers, former Michigan State and Detroit Lions wide reciever, dies at 38

Night net null NCAA Football null null Charles Rogers, former Night net wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, has died at age 38.According to MLive.com, Rogers had been battling cancer and liver disease and was given 30 days to live if a liver transplant wasn't undergone. An official cause of death has yet to be released. Per the Detroit Free Press, Don Durrett, Rogers' high school coach at Saginaw High School in Saginaw, Mich., was informed by former players that Rogers had died overnight.Rogers was an electric wide receiver at Michigan State, amassing 2,821 yards and 27 touchdowns over 24 games with the program in 2001 and 2002. The Lions made him the No. 2 overall pick in 2003, but Rogers struggled with both injuries and drug abuse in his career. He was eventually forced to pay back millions of the signing bonus received from the organization because of a breach of contract, and played in just 15 games in three seasons in the Night net.Rogers found work in 2017 at an autobody shop in Florida.Rogers is survived by eight chi
